Getting Here By Air
Victoria International Airport (YYJ) - If you are traveling a fair distance and just want to get here, Victoria offers direct flights from many major cities, or you can catch a connecting flight from the Vancouver International Airport.
Vancouver International Airport (YVR) - If you want a bit more of an adventure, one option would be to fly into Vancouver and then catch a ferry to the Island. The ferry ride to Victoria is quite spectacular and well worth it, if you are not in a rush to get here. You could either spend a day or more in Vancouver and then catch a ferry to Vancouver Island or you could time your flight such that you catch a bus directly from the Vancouver Airport to BC Ferries when you arrive. Bus tickets can be purchased ahead of time from the BC Ferries Connector website. Make sure you give yourself enough time to clear customs and to account for possible flight delays when booking your bus tickets. Car rentals are also available at the airport. If you choose to stay in Vancouver for a day or 2, you can also catch a seaplane directly from downtown Vancouver to Victoria's inner harbor (see below).
Harbour Air Seaplanes, offer frequent flights from downtown Vancouver directly to Victoria's inner harbour. This is a short but exciting flight, especially if you have never flown on a seaplane before.
Kenmore Air Seattle-Victoria offers year yound flights from Seattle, WA to Victoria's inner harbour. This is a 45 minute, fast, convenient and stress free (no ferry lineups, etc.) way to get to Victoria from the greater Seattle area.
